About Us

Welcome to the Northaw & Cuffley Residents Association Committee

About Us

Officers

Michael Green – Chair

I have lived in Cuffley since 1962 and have always been a member of the residents association and its forerunner.  I am also the Treasurer of The Kidston Institute at Northaw.

Diane Draper – Treasurer

I have lived in Cuffley for over 20 years and been a member of NCRA for most of that time and am now the Treasurer. I am interested in planning applications for our two villages and review them for the area on a weekly basis on behalf of NCRA. I am a Committee Member of the Patient Participation Group for Cuffley & Goffs Oak   Medical Practice. I am also a volunteer at the 60 Plus luncheon club in Potters Bar and for Enfield & District Veteran Vehicle Trust at Whitewebbs Museum of Transport.

Mike Clark – IT & Website

I have lived in the Parish since 2009 and currently a Parish Councillor.  I have campaigned for many years and continue to campaign for the reduction of Green Belt allocated for future building projects.

Robin Kay – Membership Secretary

My family and I moved to Cuffley in 2019 and we have two children in the local school and nurseries. Cuffley is a lovely place to live and I hope that the residents’ association can help to nourish and sustain its community.

Vice Chair & Secretary

Positions vacant.

Other Committee Members

David Cheesman

My family moved to Cuffley from London in 2004. Our three children attended Cuffley School and we all try and remain active in the local community.  I am particularly interested in working with residents to improve local services and ensure that Northaw and Cuffley continues to be a lovely place to live.

Bonnie Lythgoe

Being in the Entertainment Business as a TV producer , Musical  Theatre Director World Wide, Choreographer, and an Adventurer having been in I’m a Celebrity Australia, nothing makes me happier than being in my home village of Cuffley.  I am passionate about keeping our two villages safe, protected and green.  Don’t we love beauty?  Cuffley & Northaw can stay that way if we work together as a community.

Harry Spencer

I moved to Cuffley in 2021.  I saw it as a great place to bring up our young family – in a green environment, whilst still having access to good transport links, major roads and several airports.  Whilst we are very lucky to live here, there are always ways to make improvements and a key one for me from when I moved here has been the lack of safe places to cross Station Road (at both ends) and worryingly, the lack of urgency from Hertfordshire Highways and the local elected officials to enact change.  With all the development on Sopers Road, there should now also be a safe crossing put in there to connect to the train station.  This issue brought me to the Committee and if I’m in part successful for bringing in these changes, I’ll rewrite my bio!

Melanie Wilson

I have lived in Cuffley for 25 years and am very keen to support the Northaw and Cuffley Residents Association in protecting our very special environment and the green belt.  I am also a Committee member of the Patient Participation Group for Cuffley and Goffs Oak Medical Practice.

Becoming A Committee Member

Interested in joining our committee?  Please do get in contact for an informal chat.  It doesn’t take up a lot of your time but it does reward you with being able to ‘give back’ to the community and help to protect the reasons we live in either of our two lovely rural villages.
