About Us

Officers

Michael Green – Chair

I have lived in Cuffley since 1962 and have always been a member of the association and its forerunner. My other local interests include Committee Member of the Cuffley and Goffs Oak Medical Practice Patient Participation Group, Committee Member of The Kidston Institute at Northaw, Volunteer for the Age UK Hertfordshire Visiting Scheme, and Volunteer at the Epilepsy Clinic, Harlow Hospital.

Tony Chappell – Vice Chair

I have lived in Cuffley since 1966 and in that time have primarily been involved with sports clubs. I helped to arrange the merging of Tolmers Youth FC with Cuffley FC to form Cuffley Youth FC. I have coached Junior, Senior Saturday and Sunday teams and for a few years was Chairman of the Sports and Social club. I am now a member of the tennis club.

Susan Ashby – Membership Secretary

We moved to Northaw in 2012 and became involved in NCRA when we realised the extent of the proposed building on the Green Belt. We started by delivering the annual leaflets and I am now the Membership Secretary.  Four generations of our family live locally and we see how local issues affect all ages in the community.

Diane Draper – Treasurer

I have lived in Cuffley for over 20 years and been a member of NCRA for most of that time and am now the Treasurer. I am interested in planning applications for our two villages and review them for the area on a weekly basis on behalf of NCRA. I am a Committee Member of the Patient Participation Group for Cuffley & Goffs Oak   Medical Practice. I am also a volunteer at the 60 Plus luncheon club in Potters Bar and for Enfield & District Veteran Vehicle Trust at Whitewebbs Museum of Transport.

Anna Sharkey – Secretary

I have been a resident in Cuffley for 7 years – a new resident compared to others! In that time I have become focused on keeping the village spirit. Previously I lived in Goffs Oak for 12 years.   I joined NCRA in 2015 in the hope that I can assist and influence the current concerns of residents. In the past I have been involved in Parents Teachers Associations and local community groups.
